Position Description

We’re looking for a Senior QA Engineer with a strong background in manual testing. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring the quality and stability of our applications by embedding testing expertise into a collaborative and flexible development environment. This is not a typical QA role — you'll work closely with developers, influence testing strategies, and adapt to dynamic project requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work as an embedded QA within the development team from early design through release
  • Create, manage, and execute detailed test cases across different functional areas
  • Identify, log, and track defects clearly and precisely
  • Develop and manage test data for a wide range of scenarios
  • Perform both manual and automated testing to maintain product reliability and performance
  • Collaborate closely with developers and stakeholders for early issue detection and resolution
  • Coach team members on quality best practices
  • Stay responsive and adaptable to changing project needs and timelines
  • Drive continuous improvements in testing processes and product quality

 

Workplace:  Remote work supporting Pacific Timezone (PST) office hours

 

 

Must Have Skills:

  • 5+ years of hands-on QA experience in software testing
  • Experience working in Agile or cross-functional teams
  • Strong knowledge of manual and automation testing practices
  • Proficiency with bug tracking tools (e.g., Rally, Bugzilla) and test management platforms
  • Experience in creating and managing test data
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with undefined scopes

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Exposure to Transportation Management Systems (TMS) or logistics domain
  • Experience with automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps QA integration
  • Working knowledge of scripting or programming languages
  • Experience mentoring or guiding junior team members is a plus
