Data Engineer

We are looking for a talented and experienced Data Engineer to join our team. You will be expected to work autonomously and contribute to several high-impact projects including architecting the data pipeline infrastructure to support our customer's data needs.

You will be working in CST business hours. You will be part of team which will have on-call duties outside CST business hours as well and you would need to respond to a high-priority incident pager.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Build and automate data pipelines that meet specified requirements

• Understand and support the data pipeline infrastructure

• Lead small to medium size projects

• Review and provide feedback on pull requests

• Understand data warehouse concepts and how to apply them

• Effectively communicate issues and status

• Understand and enforce application and data security

• Follow established controls to ensure the accuracy and quality of data through all upstream and downstream data channels

• Ensure that data meets established Master Data

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills

   

Workplace: Remote, Latin America

Must Have Skills:

• 2+ years of experience designing data pipelines using Data Build tools (DBT)
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in data and analytics
• 2+ years of proficiency with SQL and Snowflake
• 1+ year of experience working with Python.
• Solid understanding of data warehouse principles and best practices
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with additional data processing tools and frameworks
• Familiarity with cloud-based data solutions
• Exposure to data security and governance best practices
• Experience with distributed data processing systems
• Strong understanding of performance optimization techniques for data queries

• Maintains composure during all types of situations and is collaborative by nature
