We're seeking a Senior Java Developer to join the core development team for one of our premier clients, a leader in financial and transactional technology solutions. This is a chance to build mission-critical systems used by millions.

The ideal candidate brings solid, comprehensive Java development experience, a holistic view of the software lifecycle, and a proven track record in unit and automated testing. Crucially, you should be ready to step into a technical leadership role within one of our development teams shortly after joining.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Engineer robust, performant, and secure solutions using modern Java frameworks and best-in-class coding standards
• Actively participate in the full development cycle (analysis, design, implementation, testing, and deployment)
• Apply and advocate for Agile principles within the team (Scrum / Kanban)
• Ensure code maintainability and quality by executing thorough code reviews and implementing robust, scalable automated tests
• Provide ideas and technical leadership in the definition of solutions and architectural decisions
• Mentor profiles with lower seniority, fostering their technical and professional growth

Workplace: Hybrid role, within a commutable distance to Buenos Aires, Argentina office 2 days per week

Must Have Skills:

• 7+ years of experience in backend development with Java (8 and above)
• Experience with frameworks such as Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, and REST APIs
• Hands-on experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL)
• Deep Experience with unit testing (JUnit, Mockito) and automated testing
• Proven ability to thrive in an Agile environment (Scrum/Kanban), adapting quickly to changing priorities (Scrum, Kanban)

Preferred Skills:

• Strong command of English, both written and verbal, for technical collaboration
• Hands-on experience with core AWS services (EC2, S3, Elasticsearch)
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline definition and maintenance using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar
• Experience designing, deploying, and managing containerized microservices (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Demonstrated success in leading and mentoring small, cross-functional engineering teams
