We’re seeking a Senior, Functional Aladdin Specialist who can lead end‑to‑end implementation workstreams—from discovery and design through configuration, integration, migration, UAT, cutover and hypercare—for client's wealth/asset management use cases. The ideal candidate is an Aladdin power user/BA with deep knowledge of front‑to‑back investment lifecycle and the ability to translate business goals into practical, high‑quality solutions spanning IBOR/ABOR, Security Master, trading/OMS, risk, performance, operations, and regulatory reporting interfaces.
What you’ll deliver (Outcomes in the first 90–180 days):
- Front‑to‑back design of current‑to‑future state processes across portfolio management, trading/OMS, data control, operations, and administration; clear gap analysis with a pragmatic path to value.
- E2E Aladdin implementation leadership: requirements, configuration, data migration (Security Master, positions, transactions), integration patterns, UAT planning/execution, go‑live cutover, and hypercare stabilization.
- Data lineage & quality across Aladdin and downstream platforms (e.g., IBOR/ABOR, risk/performance), including reconciliation strategies and reference data governance.
- Stakeholder alignment with Manulife GWAM product, ops, risk, finance, and vendor teams; cadence, KPIs, and decision logs to maintain momentum and transparency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business analysis & solution design
- Run discovery workshops, author BRDs/FRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria across investment, trading, operations, and reporting domains; maintain traceability through delivery
- Define current vs future state workflows; rationalize process deltas; document operating procedures and handoffs
- Aladdin configuration & integration
- Configure Aladdin to meet wealth/asset management requirements; partner with BlackRock and Client teams on solution options and deployment plan
- Lead or support integration with upstream market data (e.g., Bloomberg), and downstream middle/back‑office (IBOR/ABOR), performance and risk engines; design reconciliation and control points.
- Oversee data migration of Security Master, transactions, and positions; define mapping, validation, and cutover runbooks
- Testing, cutover & change management
- Own UAT strategy and execution (test scenarios, data, defect triage); manage dress rehearsals, cutover plans, and hypercare SLAs
- Drive change enablement: training, release notes, operating guides, and knowledge transfer to business and support teams
- Risk, controls & reporting
- Embed data quality rules and lineage, operational controls, and reconciliation thresholds; partner with risk/finance on reporting needs
- (Nice to have) Understanding of US liquidity/regulatory reporting processes (e.g., FR2052A, LCR/NSFR) to inform data and control design
Workplace: Hybrid; onsite presence in Toronto as needed by Client; collaborate with Bridgenext and client teams across onshore/offshore pods
Must Have Skills:
- Hands‑on Aladdin experience delivering solutions across the investment lifecycle (portfolio management, trade execution, data control/ops, admin)
- Strong functional knowledge of order & execution management and Aladdin architecture; ability to engage credibly with traders, PMs, and operations
- Proven track record in E2E platform implementations: requirements, config, data migration, integration, UAT, and cutover/hypercare
- Expertise in IBOR/ABOR concepts, Security Master, instrument modeling (incl. derivatives), and investment operations controls
- Experience reconciling Security Master and transaction data with Bloomberg; pragmatic defect resolution with business/tech teams
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills suited for executive‑level updates and vendor collaboration
Preferred Skills:
- Exposure to adjacent platforms (e.g., SimCorp, CRD, Calypso) and risk/performance tooling; familiarity with SQL/JIRA/DevOps for analysis and delivery coordination
- Experience in program governance and portfolio reporting; comfort leading steering updates and maintaining RAID logs
Professional Skills:
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong team and individual player
- Maintains composure during all types of situations and is collaborative by nature
- High standards of professionalism, consistently producing high quality results
- Self-sufficient, independent requiring very little supervision or intervention
- Demonstrate flexibility and openness to bring creative solutions to address issues
