Position Description

We are seeking an experienced Azure DevOps Engineer to support our Client's infrastructure and deployment pipelines in a staff augmentation model. This role requires hands-on experience in Azure DevOps, strong knowledge of CI/CD workflows, and a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure setup and management in Azure.


The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for maintaining deployment automation, environment reliability, and infrastructure health across several hosted applications and environments.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • CI/CD Pipeline Management:
    • Maintain and optimize Azure Pipelines for build and release processes
    • Manage Azure Repos, branching strategies, pull request processes, and pipeline integrations
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
    • Support IaC implementations using ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform as appropriate
    • Manage configuration and environment provisioning across Client's Azure tenant
  • Environment Oversight:
    • Support infrastructure for the following environments: Dev, Stage, QA, Prod, DR
    • Monitor scaling, instance performance, and storage configurations
    • Ensure WAF and backup configurations are validated and restored when needed
  • Monitoring and Alerting:
    • Implement and tune monitoring for system metrics (CPU, memory, disk, network)
    • Raise tickets or alerts for performance degradation
  • Patch Management & Deployments:
    • Apply OS-level and container updates
    • Coordinate application deployment packages from Client
  • Documentation & Communication:
    • Maintain up-to-date technical documentation and diagrams
    • Work collaboratively with Client's technical leadership and internal teams

Must Have Skills:

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines)
  • Experience with Azure App Services, Storage Accounts, Key Vaults, and scaling plans
  • Experience with DR strategies and geo-redundant configurations
  • Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or Python)
  • Strong understanding of Azure permissions, policies, and subscription models
  • Comfortable supporting Infrastructure and DevOps between 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST 

 

Preferred Skills:

 

  • Experience with Azure Front Door and WAF configuration
  • Familiarity with containerized deployments
  • Previous experience working in a client-facing or staff-aug model
  • Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer
